Admissions & Requirements

This program is designed for adult learners who are transferring to UNC Charlotte with an associate degree or 60+ hours of transferable college credit. Any student with an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering, or an Associate in Fine Arts from a NC Community College receives an exemption for general education at UNC Charlotte. Similar degree titles from out of state community colleges are reviewed when a student completes the transfer application process and may award the general education exemption if the degreeā€™s requirements align closely with the UNC Charlotte general education curriculum. The Associate in Applied Science will not award the general education exemption.

Prospective students with 60 or more hours of transferable college credit who have not earned the associate degree should contact to speak with an advisor before applying.
